Milsons Bracing Brackets should be fixed using an M10 x 140 mm Galvanised Screw Bolt (not supplied in this kit).
- Concrete Slab fixing achieves the characteristic uplift strength of 15kN.
- Timber floor fixing achieves the characteristic strength of 12kN.
Installation Instructions
Preparation
- Identify the desired location for the Bracing Bracket, ensuring its fits within the wall frame.
- Position the Bracing Bracket where the bottom plate and stud meet, ensuring a snug fit to both surfaces.
- Mark the position for the Screw Bolt using the Bracing Bracket as a guide, then remove the Bracket.
- Drill a 10 mm hole to the desired depth for the Screw Bolt, cleaning out the hole of dust and debris prior to installation of the Screw Bolt.
Installation
- Place the Bracing Bracket back into position and install HWF 12G x 35 mm T17 Mechanical Galv Screws into the bottom.
- Install a 10 mm x 140 mm Screw Bolt (not included in this kit) into the pre-drilled hole.
- Install the remaining HWF 12G x 35 mm T17 Mechanical Galv Screws vertically into the upper plate.
